My Everything

Here is a short and sweet one today…

Before becoming a mom, I didn’t know what it really meant to love someone unconditionally, without hesitation. I just wanted to take a few moments to say how blessed I am to be a mom to these two beautiful souls. They give me a sense of purpose, that I’m to help guide them into adulthood and to love them always.

While You’re Away…

maxresdefault

During my month break from blogging, people were still finding my blog, reading it, and subscribing to it. I came back to find that I now have over 900 people reading my blog. Wowsers! My how you all amaze me! How do people come across it when I haven’t posted in awhile? It’s an incredible thing to find that even while you’re away, your words make a difference.

Thank you to each of you for helping make my blog what it’s become, for enriching my life, and making this journey amazing. Thank you for your inspiration and for letting me inspire you. Thank you for your kindness, friendship, and support. I feel I can never thank you enough.

What is today? It’s Tuesday, October 25th, 2016. It’s someone’s anniversary, birthday, day they buy a new home, a day they have to say goodbye to someone they love, the day they give birth or maybe even sign adoption papers, get a puppy, or many other things. But, it’s also a day to love, give, smile, laugh, and make the most of your life.

If you decide to take a sabbatical from the world of blogging, just know we’ll still read while you’re away. Whatever you do, whether you post or read any other blogs today, make the most of all you do. ♡

Thank you!

As of minutes ago, my blog now has 700 readers! In eight days alone, I gained 50 new friends! I’m so humbled by this and feel so thankful to able to share my thoughts, feelings, ideas, and writing with the WordPress community.

So many tell me I inspire them and I can’t tell you how good that feels. But let me say this, it’s not one sided. I’ve been inspired by hundreds upon hundreds of you as well, if not thousands. Your blogs teach me, give me great advice, give me hope, make me smile, and reach parts of my heart I didn’t know existed. Thank you for not only reading my blog and being a part of my journey, but for also allowing me to be a part of yours. Thank you. What a joy it’s been these last four years. I’m looking forward to many more, God willing, to write, inspire, learn, and grow. ♡♡♡

Checking In & Catching Up

Quotation-Audrey-Niffenegger-life-time-Meetville-Quotes-61195

Life has been very busy as of late. In fact, I don’t think I have ever had so much going on at once before. The last two weeks, we have had something going on every single day/evening. For the most part, it’s good things. Work is steady, there’s our church membership classes and of course church services to attend as well, bowling league, wedding planning, and now to add to that last part…we begin pre-martial classes next month. And then of course, there is my son’s birthday, my birthday, several Christmas gatherings, a friend’s wedding, and such coming up. We do have a stressful situation concerning my son to deal with and it’s not likely it’s going to get any easier any time soon, but we’re committed to making things better for him and getting him the help he needs.

Overall, life is going fairly well and it certainly is nice to have such a fulfilling life, full of so much love and laughter. I have never been so blessed, so surrounded by so many wonderful people that are supportive, kind, and loving. And I love planning my wedding, not the financial part of it lol, but all the details that are going into our special day. I also look forward to the many wonderful events coming up, like my son turning 12 in about two and a half weeks. Despite all that’s going on with him these days, I can’t ignore his birthday. My little man is slowly, or perhaps not so slowly, turning into a teenager and soon enough, he’ll be an adult. I can hardly believe I have a sixth grader who is so intelligent and full of so many ideas for his future. I hope that his future is as bright as he’s dreaming it will be. I will do all I can to help him along the way.

Sometimes we complain that life is too hectic and I will admit it’s nice to have some time to read, write, work on things I have neglected for awhile, and sometimes just do nothing but relax. But, I will say that overall I am alright with how busy we are because much of what we have going on is enriching our lives, helping us grow, teaching us, and providing pathways to brighter futures for us as individuals, as a couple, and as a family. Though, I am happy to have some time right now to catch up on my blogging. I hope all is well in the land of WordPress. I sure do miss you guys and gals when I am not on for awhile. If you read this, perhaps share a story with me? Tell me, what have you been up to?

May I just Say You’re All Amazing? :)

I truly appreciate all of you for taking the time to read my ramblings, poetry, rants, etc. Thank you for the comments, advice, encouragement, re-blogs, and likes. Your support, friendship, and kindness mean a lot to me. You inspire me with your funny stories, heartfelt tales, recipes, music videos, pictures, and poetry. I hope that this post finds you all doing well. Before I wrap this up, I will again say thank you for all you bring to my life. I love you guys and dolls. Keep on sharing/writing!!!!

Here’s to you all you weird and amazing people out there! Every now and again, I need to tell you how very grateful I am for the support you guys and dolls show me. Being a part of this really is such an incredible experience I am glad I get to have. I don’t always say anything, but I do read your posts as well. Thank you for sharing a piece of who you are with me and the rest of WordPress. Thank you for your stories, for your words of inspiration, for opening up to us, for just being who you are. And thank you for accepting me for who I am. Seriously, thank you so very much! I consider myself blessed to have been directed to this site and to have come across so many wonderful, talented, and compassionate people. Thank for not only your support, inspiration, and allowing me to do the same for you, but also for your friendship. I love you all! ❤

We all have ways in which we express who we are

Some design buildings, others dance, and there some who bake

Many are the ways in which we can showcase our thoughts & feelings

For me, it is through the art of song & poetry

I talk a lot, anyone who knows me knows this to be true

But there are times when I can’t seem to find the words to speak aloud

When I go over it a thousand times in my mind & words fail me

This is when I let the words instead flow from my fingers instead of my mouth

There is something about writing, or in this case typing the words within my mind

And while the words that form don’t always rhyme as typical poetry might

They always somehow aptly tell all who will read it exactly what I am trying to convey

It’s been an outlet for me for so many years, a way to truly express myself

I don’t know if my words will ever grace libraries and bookstores

But I do know that they have reached thousands of eyes

And touched at least as many hearts over the years

So even if I never make a dime for my talent, I still feel richer than I can say

I share what I have to say, how I feel, and what I think so that you might better know me

And also because I hope to inspire, instill courage, and to encourage people to follow their dreams

No matter what you aspire to do, no matter who you are, I hope that you know you’re important

Though there are many who read my words that I will never in person meet, still you do matter

One of my purposes in life is to love others & to show that love in all the ways that I can

His words have taught me to reach out to the world around me

But even before I came to know & love my wondrous God above

Love for mankind always had its place within my heart

Through acts of kindness, friendship, song, and poetry is how I tell my story

And it’s how I show you all how much I care for each and every one of you

May each of you that reads this know that I am blessed by your presence

Your support for what I do means more to me than I can ever truly say

But let me do the best that I can to show you how I feel with my words

Though no amount of cliches, witty phrases, or sentiments will ever really suffice

There is one thing I’d like to say though & may it touch your hearts as your support touches mine

This simple word can make a major impact & may it do just that now: Thank you

Brangien Illuminated

I am Brangien [Brangaine] of Weisefort, Ireland, lady-in-waiting to my cousin Isolde, who became promised to King Marc of Cornwall. His nephew Tristan escorted us to England by ship. But Tristan and Isolde fell in love at sea. As ye may know, or will find out, they cite the philter they drank as the cause, over which I was supposed to keep vigil. I would like to share my perspective of how I have created good in the world through my herbs and observations. There is much to tell, including how I have adopted this odd language. In good time. My life is in God’s hands. –Inspired by the modern French translations of the Tristan and Isolde texts
