A World in Chaos

World-Chaos

As we seek to destroy one another and ourselves, I weep

Surely we are not picky about the company we keep

Hatred, greed, and jealousy continues to grow in minds throughout

But it’s love, patience, and peace we need to nurture, of that there’s no doubt

Dreamer, Take Flight

Capture-2

Hey there, Claralynn

Do you see that man over there?

The one playing the violin

Can you feel his music fill the air?

A bittersweet melody he plays

All who are near stop and stare

The clatter and chatter part ways

This man and his bow have such flair

I see your eyes grow heavier as his songs fly

Are you falling asleep, Claralynn?

His sweet music is taking you to a land in the clouds and sky

Where the world is your own is where your dreams begin.

Suffering #62

I wanted to share a post from my new friend’s blog, one that brought some insight to me today. Let us be kind and not harsh when we see others struggle. We each hurt and go through so much. So often we judge, look down upon, or pretend to understand when we haven’t got a clue. That only puts barriers between us, let’s knock them down with kindness instead. 💞❤💜💙💚💛

Sing Me a Song

20160609_193652

My daughter, Claralynn loves to be sung to and listening to music in general. I’m humbled by the fact that she loves not only the music we play for her in the cd player, but also the music I sing to her, well known songs and ones I made up on the spot.

This is the one I made up today….

Sweet baby girl

Sleepy baby girl

You want to close your eyes

You’ve grown weary

But you don’t want to miss a thing

So you fight and fight

As your eyes grow heavy

Sweet baby girl

Sleepy baby girl

Follow the path to dream land

The world will be here when you wake

I know you don’t want to miss a thing

I see you fight and fight

As your eyes grow heavier still

Sweet baby girl

Sleepy baby girl

You’ve fallen fast asleep

What do you dream about

I wonder as I look at your sweet face

Soon you’ll wake from your slumber

And your eyes will be alert and ready to journey once more. ♡

♡ And hey, she’s been asleep for over two hours. There’s something beautiful and heartwarming in watching your child sleep. ♡

Thank you!

As of minutes ago, my blog now has 700 readers! In eight days alone, I gained 50 new friends! I’m so humbled by this and feel so thankful to able to share my thoughts, feelings, ideas, and writing with the WordPress community.

So many tell me I inspire them and I can’t tell you how good that feels. But let me say this, it’s not one sided. I’ve been inspired by hundreds upon hundreds of you as well, if not thousands. Your blogs teach me, give me great advice, give me hope, make me smile, and reach parts of my heart I didn’t know existed. Thank you for not only reading my blog and being a part of my journey, but for also allowing me to be a part of yours. Thank you. What a joy it’s been these last four years. I’m looking forward to many more, God willing, to write, inspire, learn, and grow. ♡♡♡

What’s in a Name?

a186f5fca0a18c195ff3db8ac969ce2c

How did you come up with your children’s names? I’m curious to know! My son’s first name is a biblical name that means, Remembered by the Lord and I thought would be encouraging throughout his life and I also love the name, just the sound of saying it makes me smile. His middle name is also biblical, but I chose it simply because I like it. Zachariah Matthias suits him, I think. 🙂 Claralynn is a combination of two names. Clara was my grandma’s name, my dad’s mom. She passed away last September. She was a light for many and not just in our family, but in the community and at church as well. I didn’t know her well, but others told me about her through the years. Lynn was Doug’s mom’s middle name. I never met her, as she passed away a month after we’d started dating and I hadn’t met anyone in his family yet. But, I’ve heard so much about her and just by knowing my husband, his sisters, her siblings, her parents, and Phil, I can really see how wonderful she was, how she’d touched so many people. I wanted to honor both of these incredible women. Her middle name is Marie and that is both my mother’s and mine as well. I wanted to give her a piece of both of us as well. So again, what inspired your children’s names? ♡ And hey, pet parents, feel free to chime in also. They’re your kids too! Onyx came to me when I was in the pet store. Black as Midnight, but I wanted his name to be a bit more unique, just as I did for my son and daughter. ♡

Online Fame Game

fame

Many of us that blog get excited the more “followers” we get and why shouldn’t we? Our words are reaching an astronomical amount of people daily, all across the globe. We reach, teach, inspire, amuse, and make people think, get them to feel. I think it’s a great gift, being able to share our lives, thoughts, dreams, feelings, and talents with the world.

How do you use your online fame? Has it changed you? How do you feel being an online star? What have you given to the WordPress community and what has it given to you? Please, share your thoughts and experiences with me!

Small note, I prefer to call those who read my blog, “Subscribers” or “Readers” instead of “Followers”. I do this because calling you my followers makes me feel like some sort of cult leader. Perhaps that’s weird of me, but then, I am pretty weird. 😉
