How Do You Measure A Life?

life_is_not_measured

Life isn’t just measured in years or accomplishments, but also by the love that’s given to us and that we share with others. We don’t know how long any of us has, so we shouldn’t dwell on that. Instead, we should focus on the time we have right now and spend it living, creating, laughing, giving, working on leaving something behind for those generations ahead of us, being with those we cherish, dancing, singing, enjoying what we have, and loving. ❤

My life has had many heartbeats and breaths. It’s also had illnesses, injuries, hardships, celebrations, accomplishments, joys, sorrows, dreams, goals, thoughts, emotions, fears, anxieties, hopes, wishes, hatred, and love. Life isn’t just about one thing, event, or person. It’s about a broader spectrum. We all contribute something to this world and whether we know it or not, we leave our mark for future generations. I am trying to do my best to leave something good behind. So whether I live another day, week, month, year, or maybe even 50 years….I want people to look back on my life and have quite the story to tell. May anyone who learns about me and my journey inspire them to dream big and live even bigger, laugh as much as possible, give what they can of themselves to others, work hard, and love with all they have. And then may they too leave behind a legacy worth living up to.

May that be a goal for all of us here and now, to inspire not only those around us in the present and within our lifetime, but those who come after we’re gone. May our life forever teach and inspire. I have been greatly inspired by so many and I look forward to learning even more, doing more, giving more, and loving more. Thank you to all who have taught me and brought so much to my life. It is so rich already, thanks to so many people. Thank you to those who I will learn from, be inspired by, and be loved by in the days to come. May your roles in my life enrich all that I do, all that I am, and all that I will become. And may all that touch your life do the same for you. May your lives be filled with lessons learned, hardships overcome, laughter, joy, and time spent with those you love and that love you. May your time here not be looked at just by how long you lived, but by what you learned, taught others, and how much love you knew and gave. ❤
